A&E Waiting Room Extension Starts - a ground breaking ceremony took place on Wednesday 12th March to mark the official start of this £2.45M project to build a new A&E waiting room with increased triage capacity, an enlarged reception and admin office, new security and toilet facilities.  Phase 2 of the project will include a reconfiguration of part of the minor injuries area, an 8 bed elderly care assessment unit and additional space for the dedicated paediatric waiting area.

From the 1st October 2013 Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust started running services on four different sites. These include Darent Valley HospitalQueen Mary's HospitalErith & District Hospital and Elm Court (Priory Mews).  This means we now have professional and friendly staff working on four separate sites providing exceptional care in comfortable and clean surroundings.

The hard work and commitment of each one of our staff, and the pride they all take in caring for our patients, is what makes Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust one of the best. Our staff tell us they are proud to work here and we’re proud of them for everything they do for patients and each other, every day of the year. Our success isn’t simply based on our new buildings and technology, vital though they are. It’s the pride of staff who bring our services to life. Creating a hospital where patients choose to come and where staff want to work is important. That's why recognition and reward for staff to thank them for their contributions to the organisation and to patient care is paramount.

So, if you feel that you have received service or care that made you want to say "thank you" then please complete a nomination form and help us give our staff the recognition they deserve.
