Whilst NHS funds ensure that Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust provides healthcare, without additional income raised through charitable funds we would be unable to keep up with new research and advances in technology. Thanks to charitable donations we have been able to purchase new ground-breaking medical equipment, update our facilities, and continue to offer the standard of patient care that we pride ourselves on.
Your support in fundraising for our registered charity 'Valley Hospital Charity' (no.1050861) means we have funds available to respond to the needs of our Doctors and Nurses. Whether buying state of the art equipment to deliver new or improved procedures, funding research and teaching or supplying items that impact on quality of care and patient experience, this all helps us to deliver a service way beyond the NHS standard.
If you are interested in supporting the work of the hospital there are many ways you can get involved. You may choose to make a regular or one off donation, organise your own fundraising event or take part in a challenge event and raise sponsorship, or leave a legacy.
If you wish to make a donation you can choose to support one of our particular funds e.g. Little Buds, Cancer Fighting, Lollipop, or leave it to our Charity Management Board to decide where best your donation should be spent for the benefit of our patients. We are so very grateful for any donations we receive.
You may wish to donate your time rather than money. The hospital relies heavily on Volunteers to assist on the wards, in Meet and Greet and admin roles. Please visit our Volunteers page for more information.
