We hope you will kindly consider supporting the hospital by making a donation. Last year we raised over £12,000 and were thrilled to be able to help bring a bit of cheer to children and adults in hospital at Christmas time. The money raised also helped to buy extra equipment to benefit cancer, heart, stroke, sick children and special care babies.
Money is tight for the NHS but despite that, we are very proud that our local hospital strives to give the very best possible care and it is with the support of charitable donations that we are able to do so well.

Celebrate a Life this Christmas
We invite you to join us celebrating a life of someone dear to you by making a donation in their name to benefit others.
A "Tribute Fund" will be set up in the name of each life being celebrated and you can decide where your donation will benefit.
We will acknowledge all donations with a letter and a special certificate in the name of the life being celebrated. Anyone donating £20 or more will also receive a 5.5 cm nickel-plated silver star with the words 'Celebrate a Life' to be hung up in a place of your choice to remember that special person.
Some wish to celebrate in memory of a life that has passed, a new life or a life that has been saved.
Donate instead of sending cards
Over 641 million cards are sent at Christmas in the UK. As we become more aware of the impact this has on our environment many people are turning to electric cards, emails and good old phone calls.
So we appeal to you to donate the cost of sending this years Christmas cards. We will send you a special certificate acknowledge your donation.

Christmas Draw
Please support our Christmas Draw in aid of our patients and wards. 1st prize - £500, 2nd prize - a weekend hotel stay and 3rd prize £100 M&S vouchers and many, many more prizes. Tickets are £1 each.

Santa run for charity
Date: Sunday 9th December 2012
Venue: Greenwich Park, London

The Doitforcharity.com Santa run is a 5km or 10km race taking place on Sunday 9th December 2012 in Greenwich Park, London. Thousands of people are expected to take part raising funds for many different charities and now is your chance to join them and run for the Darent Valley Hospital Fund. All runners receive a free Santa costume!
No previous experience is required and with a bit of training the distance should easily be with everyone's capabilities. The spirit of this event is "taking part" not "winning" so you can run, jog or walk. Full details are available within the information pack by clicking HERE.
