Donations in lieu of flowers are a lasting and meaningful tribute, and a very valuable source of income for the Darent Valley Hospital Charity Fund.
Tribute funds in memory
A tribute fund will automatically be set up when donations are received in memory of loved ones. Sometimes friends and family like to keep a fund going in their memory by donating on special anniversaries. Some like to enter events and raise sponsorship in memory of a dear friend or relative. At times like these the Tribute Fund can grow and continue to support the area in the Hospital the relative would like to support. Each time the Tribute Fund receives a donation the nearest and dearest are informed.
Tribute fund in memory of David White It will be a way of keeping his memory alive
I lost my partner David to Cancer. Instead of buying flowers I wanted donations to go towards helping others. So the hospital set up a Tribute Fund in his name, all our friends and family donated to Davids Fund. I was so delighted when I heard that his Tribute Fund had reached over £1,000, I will also find it comforting to be able to contribute to his fund every anniversary or whenever I wish, continuing to make a valuable contribution towards helping others with Cancer in his name. He was such a lovely man who had time for everyone our friends were just happy to be able to do something in his memory.

Tribute funds in celebration
Tribute Funds can also be set up in celebration of an event such as a birth of a baby or a special anniversary or birthday.
We were so delighted with the birth of our daughter we wanted to show our appreciation to the hospital by donating some money on her birthday so that other babies and children who may not be so fortunate may benefit
