Sponsored Walk

Darenth Stride

A 5 mile hike around Darenth Valley Country Park. It is a guided walk which is leaded by the Park Ranger. Discovering the sites of the old hospital (involving climbing 100 steps – in a circular route, approx 5 miles).   It covers wooded and some overgrown areas where the ground is uneven so you will need to wear suitable footwear, thus making it unsuitable for young children and the not so fit. The views from various points doing the walk are lovely. Each year the Park Ranger varies the route. Registration starts at 10.00 am - the Stride commences at 11.00am.

Warwick Walk

A 2 mile walk around the park adjacent to Darenth Country Park. Most of the walk is on concrete pathways but there are a few areas where you will walk on the grass. The walk is suitable for young children in pushchairs, people in wheelchairs and people of all ages. Because there are not a lot of shaded areas on the walk it is suggested that you have a hat and sun cream with you, also bring along a bottle of water.  Registration starts at 11.00 am - the walk commences at 11.30am.

You can register online or pick up an application form from various points around the hospital, or if you wish ring Fundraising and Voluntary Services on 01322 428392.
