Winter (snow) planning

The winter months bring with it winter weather which Darent Valley Hospital fully understand the difficulties they can bring, especially the challenges faced by both staff and visitors when travelling to and from our hospitals. This page is designed to help get information to staff and patients in the event of snow or other extreme weather conditions.

During the winter special arrangements are required to ensure that staff members can continue to provide the services the community expects. Please remember that our main priority is ensuring services are not affected and we are able to continue to provide high quality care for our patients.

Please check this page regularly during any cold spell, particularly if transport is severely affected. We will be posting regular updates and advice, along with contact telephone numbers and emails.  We will also be posting updated on Twitter and Facebook:

Useful information

If you park your car on a main road, the road is much more likely to be cleared enabling you to get to the hospital.
