The direct dial telephone numbers and visiting times for all wards are listed below. Please telephone the ward directly rather than contacting the switchboard unless otherwise stated.
Visiting outside the specified hours is at the discretion of the Ward Managers (Matrons/Senior Sisters) and arrangements would need to be made in advance. Whilst we try to ensure that the published visiting times are correct, it is always advisable to confirm them with the staff on the ward.
If a relative or friend, with the patients agreement, would like to speak to a doctor about your care or treatment, please ask your nurse to arrange an appointment. If an interpreter is needed, please tell your nurse.
Unfortunately some wards are unable to allow patients to receive flowers, please view the table below which indicates those that do accept them. Also do bear in mind that space at the bedside is very limited.

Flu / diarrhoea and vomiting
We advise people who are suffering from flu or flu-like symptoms not to come to the hospital to visit patients or Accident & Emergency, as you risk spreading the virus to vulnerable people in the Hospital. Please stay at home, rest, drink plenty of fluids and take over the counter remedies to relieve the symptoms. If you are pregnant, if your symptoms or your child’s symptoms suddenly get worse, or if you have a serious existing illness, please call your GP in the first instance. Further advice on what to do if you have flu-like symptoms can be found at: www.nhs.uk or by calling NHS Direct on: 0845 46 47.
If you have had diarrhoea and vomiting in the last 48 hours, please do not visit the hospital. If you are coming into the hospital remember to always wash your hands and use the hand gel provided at all entrances when entering and leaving the wards.
