Job title
Clinical Director - Surgical Specialities
About me

Although I trained in the era of general surgery the changes that have occurred in the last few years have resulted in further specialisation. I provide both the vascular and endocrine surgical service in Dartford, but I still continue with laparoscopic cholecystectomies, and more general surgery such as hernias.

I remain on the emergency rota dealing with trauma and all emergency general surgery.

I carry out a full range of peripheral vascular surgery with special interest in aortic and carotid procedures.

I have an interest in venous disease, especially the management of varicose veins but also management of the consequences of deep vein thrombosis, the post-phlebitic limb and venous ulceration

My endocrine practice is mainly associated with the thyroid and parathyroid.

I also service the surgical requirements of the haematology department, This involves all the splenectomies and insertion of vascular access lines such a Hickman/Groshong and Portacaths
