Governor Leslie Hills

Leslie Hills

Apart from my escapades at sea, I have lived in Kent all my life. After formal education, I joined the marine industry, gaining a Masters Certificate at the London Polytechnic College. Whilst serving with the sea and harbour towage industry and in my capacities as National Secretary of ‘UK Tugmens Association’ and a member of ‘London Rivers Authority’, I was active in campaigning for the Dreadnought Seaman’s Hospital. After taking early retirement in 2006, I became an elected local councillor for my resident ward of Chalk in Gravesham, representing the Conservative Party.  Since my mother died at Darent Valley Hospital in 2002, I have taken an interest in health matters, with particular regard to the welfare of patients.  I am delighted with the privilege and opportunity to serve as elected governor.

Cllr Hills can be contacted by post at: 27 Havisham Road, Chalk, Gravesend, Kent DA12 4UW or by telephone on 01474 534742 or by e-mail to leslie.hills@gravesham.gov.uk
