Dr Foster Hospital Standardised Mortality Rate (HSMR)
We are pleased to announce that the Dr Foster Hospital Standardised Mortality Rate (HSMR) shows a dramatic improvement in Darent Valley Hospital’s performance overall and in crucial areas. We welcome the reports finding that now places the hospital within the top quarter of the highest performing trusts nationally for patient safety and efficiency.
We have worked diligently to use the information available to us to focus on what needs to be done to improve patient safety and outcomes. The Trust was also shortlisted for the Prestigious HSJ Patient Safety Award for improving the management of deteriorating patients and reducing hospital mortality.
