I'm pregnant who should I see and what should I do?

Congratulations you are pregnant - which health professional do you see first?

Pregnancy Information Booklet for advice and guidance regarding your pregnancy.

We would like you to contact us as soon as you know you are pregnant so we can ensure that you get the maternity care that best suits you- the earlier you contact us the better.

We recommend you first see a midwife before you are 10 weeks pregnant, it has been acknowledged that the earlier a woman seeks advice once she knows that she is pregnant, the more informed she will be to make decisions about her pregnancy.

To help speed this referral process, please fill in the electronic ‘self referral’ form on this web site. This goes directly to the ante natal clinic and the midwife responsible for providing care for the area where you live, will contact you to arrange an appointment- the ‘booking ‘ appointment, that best suits you please write the phone number we can use to contact you during the day or early evening.
