Colorectal

The role of the Colorectal Specialist Nurse Practitioner includes several patient centred nurse led services, including a diagnostic flexible sigmoidoscopy and a rectal bleed clinic for diagnostic and therapeutic colorectal problems e.g. haemorrhoids.  A new nurse led service is about to commence called biofeedback.  This is to help people who have problems with constipation or faecal incontinence.

We also have a Nurse Specialist who is the Colorectal Cancer McMillan Nurse Specialist who assists and cares for patients from time of diagnosis through their journey of cancer treatment.
