The x-ray room is located in the Heart Centre and is dedicated to cardiac angiography. Cardiac angiography is a technique where the heart and associated blood vessels are demonstrated.
You will spend most of the day in the Heart Centre - although the actual angiogram will only take about 30-60 minutes to perform. The angiogram will be performed by a cardiologist who is supported by a team comprising of radiographer, nurses and cardiac technician.
After the angiogram is completed, you will remain in the day ward for a few hours under observation.
