The consultant led unit at Darent Valley Hospital offers faster access for patients to hospital services. The Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) is specifically designed for patients suffering from medical conditions. Tests and investigations are started to determine the correct course of treatment and whether admission to hospital is necessary. The twenty nine bedded unit provides first class care and comfort where patients can benefit from the expertise provided by a team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and pharmacists.
The unit is specifically designed with bright, comtemporary surroundings and experienced, confident, friendly staff to add to a very welcoming enviornment for patients.

The unit is specifically designed for rapid access and fast decision making with the aim to avoid hospital admissions through early diagnosis and assessment. Referring a patient is just a phone call away and whilst the patient heads to hospital their details can be faxed across in the referral letter.
The unit is open to GP referrals from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday.
