Access to Staff Car Parks Evening and Weekends by staff who have not been issued with a car parking permit

Staff car parks normally have significant numbers of vacant spaces during evenings and weekends. The current car parking management system does not allow restrictions on the times that permits can be used. Staff who have not been issued with a permit to park in staff car parks are not able to access these car parks at any time under current arrangements.

Staff without permits will be permitted to park in the staff car parks evenings and weekends.

  • Indigo will load car park barriers with tickets charged at full tariff [ie £5 per day] between 18.30 and 0500 weekdays and 18.30 Friday to 0500 Monday for weekends [East Car Park only].
  • When staff wish to leave the car park they must get their ticket validated by Indigo at the Parking Shop for £1.  Staff must show their Trust ID for Indigo to validate their ticket.
  • Patients or public who are issued with tickets under this arrangement would pay full tariff.
